Real Millionaire Preachers of LA [Pastors Living Lavishly]
Lately there is been much controversy of Oxygen’s new hit reality TV show “Preachers of La.” Despite the critics the show has an alarming fan base. According to euroweb.com “The series premiere of Oxygen’s new reality series, “Preachers of L.A.” delivered 1.1 million total viewers, which for Oxygen, is big numbers. Oxygen seems to have done it again profiting in the reality TV world we now live in. Now let’s analyze this show and why the backlash from Christians across America. Many members of congregations belong to churches were the Pastor is the leader, the so called shepherd as they would declare. This show reveals the lifestyle of pastors who happen to lead over mega churches. However it is in my research that there is no biasness of Pastors. There are pastors who have a congregation of no more that 100 driving around in brand new Cadillac’s. Why this? Let’s head to the word. Philippians 4:19 English Standard Version (ESV) 19 And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. Here is the brain washer: Malachi 3:10 English Standard Version (ESV) 10 Bring the full tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. And thereby put me to the test, says the Lord of hosts, if I will not open the windows of heaven for you and pour down for you a blessing until there is no more need. 2 Corinthians 8:9 English Standard Version (ESV) 9 For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though he was rich, yet for your sake he became poor, so that you by his poverty might become rich. Here is the problem with it all. The pastors are living the lifestyles while the members are suffering. How is it possible for a pastor to obtain a brand new Bentley while there are members in the church below the poverty line? I am all for people living nice, and having fortune but at the same time church members should reflect their pastoral leadership. Hypothetically the Pastors were not living this way until their congregation began to grown. As the church grows a pastors salary grows this is simple economics. This show is blasphemous and it continues to lead people away from the church because this has always been a stigma in the church. The pastor gets wealthy the member gets poorer. On of the most powerful Bishops on the planet Bishop TD Jakes said it best “it is filth” Please comment….
